Six students from Mirasur School \u2014Martina Mu\u00f1iz, Noa Estrada, Irene de los R\u00edos, Avika Sharma, Carolina Mart\u00ednez and Daniela Sanz\u2014 travelled to Romania to participate in the first mobility of the European project Erasmus+ Together for Equality, accompanied by teachers Yolanda Segura and H\u00e9ctor Delgado.<\/p>\n
Together for Equality aims to raise awareness and promote respect, empathy and acceptance of differences related to religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability and racism. In this first phase, the participating countries \u2014Romania, Greece, Portugal, T\u00fcrkiye and Spain\u2014 focused on the theme of religions. <\/p>\n
Throughout the week, international teams reflected on key questions such as \u201cDo we really know the pillars of each religion?\u201d. Through presentations and collaborative activities, each country explained the foundations of different faiths and how to respect their differences. This exchange allowed students to better understand religious diversity and strengthened values of tolerance and coexistence. <\/p>\n
In addition to the educational sessions, the students enjoyed a wide cultural programme. In T\u00e2rgovi\u0219te, they visited various churches and monasteries, where they learned about the history and religious heritage of the city. They also took part in workshops on non-discrimination based on religion at the local Teacher Training Centre. <\/p>\n
The visit included a trip to Bucharest, where they explored the Parliament and the main streets of the capital, accompanied by students from Colegiul Na\u021bional Vladimir Streinu\u2014an experience our students described as \u201cwonderful\u201d.<\/p>\n
Academically, the participants are collaborating on the creation of an eBook and the selection of the project\u2019s official logo, encouraging creativity, cooperation and intercultural dialogue.<\/p>\n
he accompanying teachers highlighted the great educational value of this international experience.
Yolanda Segura explained: \u201cThis project helps us educate our students in deep respect for everything that makes us different. They learn that diversity is a strength and develop genuine empathy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, H\u00e9ctor Delgado added:
