Mirasur School has strengthened its position in the field of educational innovation following the participation of its Director of Innovation, Miguel Ujeda, in a series of international meetings held this week in London, focused on the present and future of technology applied to education.<\/p>\n

The visit enabled the school to take part in strategic forums where key lines of development in accessibility, artificial intelligence, student wellbeing and safeguarding are being defined, consolidating Mirasur School\u2019s educational project within a global conversation on pedagogical innovation.<\/p>\n

Digital Leaders<\/h3>\n

Miguel Ujeda represented Mirasur School at the Cognita Europe Digital Leaders Meeting, held at the offices of educational publisher Pearson, where more than 30 technology leaders from 20 European schools shared experiences and best practices. Key topics addressed during the event included Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the ethical and pedagogical impact of artificial intelligence in the classroom. <\/p>\n

\u201cThese meetings allow us to compare our educational model with those of other international schools and to confirm that we are using technology as a genuine tool for inclusion, personalisation and improved learning,\u201d explains Miguel Ujeda. \u201cAccessibility is no longer an add-on; it is the starting point of pedagogical design.\u201d<\/p>\n

The agenda continued with his attendance at BETT 2026,<\/a> the world\u2019s largest education technology fair, held at London\u2019s ExCeL Centre. The event brought together more than 35,000 educators from 130 countries and over 600 companies in the sector. In this setting, Mirasur School identified key trends such as the integration of artificial intelligence in the form of tutors or educational assistants, as well as the growth of solutions focused on safeguarding and students\u2019 emotional wellbeing. <\/p>\n

\u201cSeeing the international landscape confirms that the path we are following at Mirasur is the right one,\u201d notes Ujeda. \u201cWe are anticipating technological challenges with a solid strategy, always placing student safety and wellbeing at the centre.\u201d<\/p>\n

AI in the Classroom<\/h3>\n

One of the highlights of the trip was participation in an exclusive meeting at Google\u2019s offices, attended by educational leaders from around the world. There, Miguel Ujeda exchanged insights with leading figures such as Salman Khan, founder of Khan Academy, and Ben Gomes, Director of Learning Technology at Google, discussing the real impact of artificial intelligence tutors on personalised learning. <\/p>\n

In addition, Mirasur School\u2019s Director of Innovation had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the latest advances in assistive technology and accessibility, including motion-control tools, braille systems and automatic sign language translation solutions. \u201cTechnology only makes sense when it expands opportunities and removes barriers. These solutions remind us that innovation must, above all, be deeply human,\u201d he highlights.<\/p>\n

Following this experience, Miguel Ujeda emphasises that all the knowledge gained will be directly transferred to Mirasur School classrooms. \u201cIt\u2019s not just about staying up to date, but about being an active part of the global conversation on how to educate better.
