During the Pre-University years, students consolidate the knowledge and skills they have acquired. Throughout the two year cycle, we accompany and support our students in obtaining their degree and preparing for the University Access Exams (EVAU).

At Mirasur School, our students can choose between the Science or Social Sciences modalities. We provide them with the necessary guidance and resources to pursue their chosen path, whether in the Sciences or Social Sciences.

Throughout Pre-University it is crucial for our students to be prepared to obtain their degree and successfully pass the university entrance exam (EVAU). That's why we follow a rigorous method to help them achieve their goals.

Given the academic demands of these exams, we have designed a pedagogical approach that reinforces the teaching hours of core and elective subjects to provide the necessary support for our students to face these exams with confidence, through preparation and the required level of self-assurance to achieve success. Our teaching team works to stimulate critical thinking, foster research and promote the development of key skills for academic success.

Guidance: Your Pathway to Success

Academic and career guidance during the Pre-University stage is crucial. The Department of Guidance along with teachers and tutors provides comprehensive support to students and their families throughout the two-year period of Pre-University.

Our team focuses on accompanying students in making informed decisions regarding their academic pathways and career options. Our goal is for our students to discover the various academic and professional opportunities that align with their strengths and individual motivations ultimately leading them to success.

The Department of Guidance serves as a guiding force throughout the educational journey, providing students with the necessary support and resources at each stage of their learning process.

We are committed to helping students navigate their path, make informed choices and develop the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their chosen endeavours.

Strengthening wellbeing

Emotional well-being is essential for the academic and personal success of students at all stages, especially during the Baccalaureate. That is why during this stage in our International Baccalaureate in Madrid, the Guidance Department dedicates one hour a week to the students.

During these sessions, workshops are conducted to work on techniques related to self-management, emotional control, anxiety, study techniques, planning and organization.

The objective of these sessions is to provide our students with the necessary tools to gain self-confidence and successfully face the various academic challenges they encounter.
