During the Primary stage, we consolidate the knowledge acquired and prepare our students to develop the necessary skills for meaningful future learning.

At Mirasur School, our educational project in this stage focuses on fostering student autonomy, implementing a methodology for the proper acquisition of academic and emotional knowledge, consolidating English as the language of instruction, and promoting healthy habits through sports and various workshops offered by the Guidance Department.

Primary Years Programme (PYP)

The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) is designed for students aged 3 to 12. It enables them to form and develop themselves to be caring and active participants in lifelong learning.

The PYP explores six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, using the skills and knowledge acquired across six subject areas, as well as the skills that cover a range of disciplines with an emphasis on inquiry.

Projects and Goals

At our primary school in Madrid, we offer innovative educational programmes that improve communication skills and prepare our students for a successful future

Oratory Program

Improve oral expression through presentations and public speaking. By the end of this programme, students will be able to effectively argue in their native language.

Drama Program

Enhance oral expression in English through theatrical interpretation. We work in an effective and enjoyable manner on oral expression, as well as comprehension, reading, and writing in the English language.

Cambridge Program

We provide preparation classes within the school curriculum for students to take the Cambridge certification exams. By expanding the number of English language hours and offering preparation opportunities within the school, students can prepare without the need to go to an external centre.

Ted-Ed Program

Refine English communication skills through interactive and dynamic activities.

Computing and Robotics

Develop computational thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills through computer science and robotics classes.

Nurturing critical thinking, bilingual communication, wellbeing, and leadership vision

Autonomy and Critical Thinking

We foster autonomy and critical thinking in our students. They learn to make decisions, take responsibility and carry out academic and personal projects. Through debates, they develop skills to identify, analyze, evaluate and interpret different cases encouraging trial and error.

Bilingual Communication

Bilingual communication is one of our priorities.

During the Primary Education stage, our students develop skills to express themselves orally and in writing fluently using English as the vehicular language.

Culture of Wellbeing

We promote a culture of wellbeing within our community through PE sessions and wellbeing workshops, providing knowledge and tools to adopt healthy habits, both physically and emotionally.

Our goal is to foster a healthy lifestyle and the overall wellbeing of our students.

Vision of Leadership

We drive entrepreneurial spirit and leadership through our E.L.I.E Program (Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Executive Intelligence), which equips our students with the necessary skills to make decisions, work in teams and lead in the real world. Through practical projects and expert mentors, we develop their creativity, resilience and adaptability. We prepare our students to face challenges and become agents of change.
