Two Mirasur School students, Alejandra Quero and Anais Chander, have ranked among the top performers in the Community of Madrid in the recent University Entrance Exams (PAU) 2025, each achieving near-perfect scores. Their success is the result of effort, consistency, and a true passion for learning — values that reflect the spirit of the entire Mirasur School community.

Top Performers in the PAU

On June 23rd, Anais and Alejandra were recognized by the Carlos III University of Madrid as part of a select group of 28 students with the highest PAU results, each scoring an average above 9.7 out of 10.

In addition, Anais Chander, a resident of Pinto, received the 2025 Egido Scholarship First Prize, which includes a €1,000 award, for earning the highest score in the municipality during the general phase of the exam (9.75/10). Although her classmate Alejandra Quero, a resident of Parla, was not eligible for the scholarship, she achieved the highest overall score (13.739/14) among students from Pinto. Since the scholarship’s creation, Mirasur students have consistently been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements, following in the footsteps of past awardees such as José Enrique Castro, Patricia Durán, and Carla Revueltas (2024), as well as Daniel Moya, Jaime Mercado, and Claudia Salazar in previous years.

Different Paths, Same Passion for Learning

Alejandra pursued the Social Sciences track and will begin a Dual Degree in International Relations and Economics at CEU San Pablo University this September, having been admitted with a merit-based excellence scholarship. Passionate about economics since Year 10, Alejandra dreams of a future in international business or even a career in diplomacy.

Anais, on the other hand, is drawn to the pure sciences and is currently deciding between Physics, Mathematics, or a dual degree combining both at Complutense University of Madrid. Her love for science has been clear throughout her academic journey, earning her several Excellence Scholarships at Mirasur School.

A Message for Future Students

Both students agree on the advice they want to share with those following in their footsteps:
“Consistency and organization are key. Stay up to date with your coursework, pay attention in class, and don’t be afraid to ask questions — that’s what really makes the difference.”

After a demanding academic year, Alejandra and Anais are now enjoying a well-deserved summer full of plans: travel, reading, time with friends and family… and preparing for their university adventure.

At Mirasur School, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Alejandra and Anais for their extraordinary achievements. They are proof that dedication, supported by family and guided by educators, can take you far. We are incredibly proud of you!
