At Mirasur School, we work with the official Spanish curriculum, delivered through active methodologies and well-established pedagogical approaches. We are a School of the International Baccalaureate World, which allows us to integrate IB principles and practices into our educational project.
Learning English
English plays a prominent role in Mirasur School’s educational project. From the earliest stages, students receive a solid and progressive education that combines academic learning, the development of oral communication skills and preparation for official certifications. Throughout their schooling, students achieve a high level of proficiency in English, accredited through official Cambridge certifications, which validate their readiness for demanding academic and professional contexts.

Through Mirasur Solidario, our school NGO, the entire educational community takes part each year in charitable initiatives that raise thousands of euros for childhood cancer research. In addition, the school actively collaborates with organisations such as Mensajeros de la Paz, the Food Bank, and other social organisations, helping students engage with diverse realities and fostering values such as empathy, responsibility and social commitment.

Bilingual education: Introduction of English as a vehicular language through Storytelling and Music.

With our Tech Makers programme, students develop computational thinking while training skills from different perspectives: construction, cooperative learning and critical thinking.

Throughout this stage we continue with the PYP of the International Baccalaureate. During the Primary stage we consolidate the knowledge acquired and prepare our pupils to develop the skills necessary for future learning to be meaningful.

They begin the Cambridge Programme in which they receive Cambridge Certificate preparation classes within the curriculum.

At this stage, the teacher's tutorial role and the guidance department are further reinforced by providing comprehensive support to students, guiding them through the various pathways available for their academic development. We ensure that students are well-informed about the possibilities aligned with their professional interests, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future educational endeavors.

Debate Club: In Secondary school, the Debate Club activity begins, where pupils develop and perfect verbal and non-verbal communication skills, as well as argumentation and refutation based on certain criteria.

During this stage we accompany the students and prepare them to obtain their diploma and prepare them for the EBAU university entrance exams.

Cambridge Linguaskill: All students in the 2nd year of Bachillerato take the Cambridge Linguaskill test so that they can finish their schooling with an evaluation that certifies their level of English. The results of this test are in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the international standard for describing language skills.
