The Spanish newspaper El Mundo has once again included Mirasur School in its annual ranking of the Best Schools in Spain 2026, a study that reviews hundreds of educational institutions across the country based on their academic quality, educational model, results, and pedagogical innovation.

Mirasur School has been included in the category of Notable Schools, a distinction that recognises institutions that stand out for their educational project and the quality of their academic offer.

The El Mundo ranking is one of the leading educational analyses in Spain. Each year it evaluates numerous schools considering aspects such as the teaching model, educational innovation, academic results, student support, and the international outlook of their educational projects.

An International and Innovative Educational Project

In the profile published by the newspaper, El Mundo highlights the educational model of Mirasur School, an authorised school to deliver the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and currently a candidate school for the Diploma Programme (DP).

The newspaper also underlines several initiatives that characterise the school’s educational project, such as the co-teaching system implemented from Early Years to Year 3 of Primary School. This approach allows two teachers to work in each classroom — one teaching in Spanish and one native English-speaking teacher — strengthening the bilingual programme while reducing the student–teacher ratio.

The publication also highlights the school’s commitment to the safe and responsible use of technology, as well as the creation of spaces for student and family participation through initiatives such as the wellbeing committees.
