Mirasur School has been present this week at SIMO Educación 2025, Spain’s leading educational technology event, with the outstanding participation of Miguel Ujeda, the school’s Director of Innovation and one of the national leaders in digital transformation in education.

Ujeda, founder of GEG Spain, delivered the opening keynote for Google for Education at this year’s congress, further consolidating Mirasur School’s position as one of the leading institutions in educational thought and the real-world application of technological innovation in the classroom. “We are positioning our school among the educational thought leaders in K12 —from early years to pre-university education— not only through pedagogical reflection but also through pioneering projects in the field of Artificial Intelligence applied to education,” explained Miguel Ujeda after his session.

Earlier in the week, Ujeda also took part in a Google panel discussion titled “The Future of Learning in the Age of AI,” where he shared Mirasur School’s experience integrating artificial intelligence ethically and pedagogically into teaching and learning processes. “It’s not just about incorporating technology, but about doing so with educational purpose. AI has enormous potential to personalize learning, enhance formative assessment, and free teachers’ time to focus on what truly matters: supporting the student,” added Ujeda.

This week also marks the Google Champions Symposium, an international gathering of leading educators certified by Google. Mirasur School has been part of this group since its recognition as the first Google Reference School in Spain in 2018.

The school’s presence at SIMO Educación 2025 reinforces its commitment to continuous innovation, as well as its role as a benchmark institution in digital transformation, educational well-being, and skills development. “At Mirasur, we see innovation as a mindset, not a trend. To innovate is to ask ourselves every day how we can offer a more human, global, and future-connected education,” concluded Miguel Ujeda.
